Efficiency Nova Scotia connects home and business owners with local professionals who can help with energy efficiency improvements. As an Efficiency Trade Network member we:

• Complete and submit the Efficiency Trade Network: General Participation Agreement

• Participate in at least one Efficiency Nova Scotia project per year

• Maintain a minimum of $1,000,000 in general liability insurance coverage

• Complete any mandatory program trainings

• Be compliant and in good standing with Nova Scotia’s Workers’ Compensation Board (or exempt under provincial law)

• Promote Efficiency Nova Scotia programs to customers and work directly with Efficiency Nova Scotia representatives

The Red Seal Program, formally known as the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program, is a program that sets common standards to assess the skills of tradespeople across Canada. Industry is heavily involved in developing the national standard for each trade. It is a partnership between the federal government and provinces and territories, which are responsible for apprenticeship training and trade certification in their jurisdictions.

Tradespersons who have successfully passed the Red Seal examination receive a Red Seal endorsement on their provincial/territorial trade certificate.
